Sicamous Narrows Environmental Enhancement Society

 MISSION STATEMENT

To actively advocate for and implement strategies that protect and enhance the natural beauty and ecological balance of the Sicamous Narrows. We are committed to promoting sustainability between the environment and local activities, ensuring that all endeavors on and off the water are conducted with the utmost respect for sustainability and environmental stewardship. We advocate for protection from and support the management of invasive species of our waterways.

VISION STATEMENT

Our vision is a future where the Sicamous Narrows is not only a breathtaking expanse of natural beauty but also a shining example of sustainable and environmentally conscious living. We strive to create a community that values and actively contributes to the preservation and improvement of our local ecosystem, making the Narrows a model of environmental responsibility and a source of pride for generations to come.

PURPOSE

The Sicamous Narrows Enhancement Society is established with the purpose of uniting property owners, local stakeholders, and environmental enthusiasts in a collective effort to safeguard the environmental integrity of the Sicamous Narrows. Our aim is to facilitate informed and responsible use of the foreshore and water areas, promote sustainable practices, and ensure that all activities in the vicinity are aligned with the principles of ecological preservation and enhancement.

The Sicamous Narrows Environmental Enhancement Society (SNEES) meets on the SECOND Tuesday of each month. You can join us in person at the DOSDC office (#2A 217 Finlayson Street) or join the meeting via Zoom Link (membership is not required to attend):
